7100g Bluetooth issue
I just got my 7100g a couple of days ago from ATT Wireless (Cingular). I am unable to pair with a BT headset. Tried Jabra 250 and Moto HS820. I am able to connect any other BT devices. I connected to an iPAQ H5455 and two Nokia phones. Just can't seem to pair with a BT headset. Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance!

I have had the 7100g for a month and I was able to pair my bluetooth headset with no problem. I paired it with the HS820 and HS810 both by Motorola. I just turned bluetooth on on the RIM device and put the headsets in pair mode, selected add device. The 7100g recognized the headsets, then I entered the password key for each and started using my bluetooth headset. Feel free to send me a personal email through phonescoop if you have additional questions.

I am having the same issue. I enabled BT, then tried to search for the BT. Every search is unsuccessful. Does anybody have any advise. I have the HS810 BT. ðŸ¤

Once you enable the Bluetooth on your 7100g. Put your HS810 in pairing mode. Click on add device. The 7100g will search for the bluetooth device. It'll then say device found HS810. Then, it'll ask for your passkey, which is 0000. Then, your HS810 will be added on to your HS810 for use. Send me a personal email if you should have any additional questions. I hope this helps you.

As the last post said, make sure the headset is in pairing mode. For Moto headsets or Jabra bt250 the blue light has to be solid blue. For the moto hs810 once the light is blue then open the boom mike. that should do it.
