Don't waste your money. "Pre-launch" Phones are prone to errors. And this isnt coming from a "connect" I know because I test them.

It is my concern because I am a aprint employee. And any phone that has been apart of "pre-Launch" has not passed FCC approval, They are phones that have been used as demos -OR- phones that sprint never took back from a supplier to correct issues.

Why do I care? Because I own sprint stock, and if someone recieves a phone that is garbage what is the first thing they do? The CANCEL THE SERVICE and go with another carrier blaming sprint. SO WITH THAT SAID, it is a very bad idea to purchase any phone that has not been approved, it is very likely it will not work properly.

Anyway, Why pay 600bucks now when you can wait for severl more weeks and get it for far less? 🙄

I agree with the sprintINSIDER, I too am on the inside just not a tester. (wish I was though)I have already seen the cost of this phone,it will be selling brand NEW with a 1 year warrenty for $419.00. So why buy from some "guy" who cant and wont give you a warrenty. 😛

If you purchase any wireless handset before the FCC Has approved it and before the carrier has officially shipped them to the warehouse and suppliers it means several things.

1) It has been stolen "Inside" And will be locked and traced for usage (And we do press criminal charges)

The one thing you forgot to mention is the fact that if that phones ESN is not in Sprints inventory then they wont be able to activate it. It will show up in P2K as an unfound ESN and someone will get stuck with a non activatable $600 phone. Good luck for those of you who are even thinking about buying this phone. If you do decide to get it please get the ESN first and contact Sprint in ref. to getting it activated.

$600 is too much money anyway and the regular one will between $400 and $450 for old customers. I am a Sprint District Manager and this would really be a bad idea if someone bought this phone. I get calls every day and voicemails cause people buy phones from people all the time that they can't activate them. So they want to give my store associates H*** because they couldn't wait for the real one. Not my problem I tell them all the time, NEXT TIME WAIT FOR THE REAL DEAL. Like frybri said, the Sanyo 5600 is not even in the inventory, so it has no ESN and there is no way to activate it, and if I was in a situation where I got a call about one being activated I would tell my associate to keep the customer right there in the store....Cause I wan...

balone, i tested an a700 this past summer and the esn of that cell wasnt in their database, they said it shouldnt have been working let alone been sold. i had no problems accessing any vision services, calling, messaging. althought i didnt keep the phone cause i wanted to wait for the 5600 to come out, that was in july i think, man, this sux waitng for a dang cell, my lg5350 has been on its last legg for about a phreakin year now.
