Sanyo MM-5600 is very over-rated!
I think that this forum is over-hyping this phone. Yea it has great features but in 6 months there is gonna be something better out there. When I can watch a clear realtime TV image on a large phone screen I will be impressed. These companies can put better product out there but they make small changes to each phone in order to make a long term profit. I have a Sanyo vm-4500 and although the features are good, the battery life sucks, the video camera is so-so, and it does not charge properly. Getting the Sanyo MM-5600 phone the first week may be a mistake becuase i'm sure the early versions will have some defects. And a $479 price is alot of money for the customers that don't qualify for the rebate. What do you all think?

You are entitled to your opinion, but look at it from my point of view. I currently have had the Sanyo 5300 for 2 years now. I watched as the 4500 came out with Speaker-phone and was a little jealous, then I watched mega-pixel cameras come out on phones, but now QVGA screens and more. This phone has everything I told myself my next phone would have to have for me to upgrade from the 5300. When this phone comes out there will be no more excuses for me. On another note, it wont be $479 - - worst price mentioned so far has been $449, some have claimed as low as $379. Either way I do qualify for the rebate, and that will help a ton!
just my two cents.

All true (though previous posts will dispute the $479 price tag), but there's ALWAYS going to be something better six months down the road. That goes for whatever phone you buy, whenever you buy it. The only thing you can do is get one with the features you like, and stick with it. If you always wait for that "next big thing", you'll be waiting forever.

it's not the best phone that will ever come out, but I need a new phone, and I have the $150 rebate coming to me, so I want to get something that's going to be worth my money. I buy phones like every other year, so I don't want to start off out-dated.

The longer the wait, the more likely people are to say that a phone is overrated. I think that's coming out of frustration and I could see how you feel that way, cuz it's being pushed back so many damn times, it's crazy.
