It'd better do this.. or else
Ok, I currently have the Sanyo 5500 and have some rather strong complaints about it. When going off the Sprint network, the phone instantly forgets what time it is. Even when going from sprint to digital roaming or analog roaming, if you see the time on the phone and go off network it doesn't know what time it is. When you go into look at the calender, it'll ask you to set the time. If you turn the phone on after it being off for a few hours, it doesn't know the time. I'v had my 5500 for over a year now and I also personally know 4 other people that have the 5500 and I have never heard of that problem. If the phone is less then a year old I would take it to a Sprint Store and have them test and run software/hardware updates on it. If it fails the test you will most likely get a new phone.

Obviously its a defect phone because I had the phone for a year + and it keeping track of time was never an issue like gsmith462 said:If the phone is less then a year old I would take it to a Sprint Store and have them test and run software/hardware updates. I would Happily take his advise 😉

The phone is not defective. When the phone goes off network it does not forget the time the. When you go to calender it is just asking you to confirm the time. By you being of network the phone doesn't know if you've witched time zones or whatever since it last talked to a digital tower. If you look at your watch when you go to calender ( or any other device that has the correct time,) the time that the phone is asking you to confirm is usually correct.
