OMG people, it's JUST an over-price phone!!!
Omg, why are all you people so obsessed over a phone? For crying out loud, it’s just an over-priced piece of equipment that will be used roughly 99% of the time for calling other people and text messaging. The other 1% (which I guess could be all you crazy gadget loonies) will sporadically….not even daily, but sporadically us the other high-tech features.
I mean, really, when are you sitting at work, or driving in your car and you instantly think “hey, let me whip out my phone and take some random picutures”…or “let me whip out my phone and use the camcorder feature to grab a crappy recording of these daisy’s blowing in the wind”?
I think you fools have too much “geek” in you and really need to re-evaluate what a phone is used for...

OK first of all why are you even in this forum? If you want a cell phone that you can use to just make phone calls and send text messages then why are you looking at this phone and posting your worthless two cents. Maybe you can't afford a high-end phone and are jealous because we all can. I don't know. Another thing that you need to realize is that people now a day's would rather carry one device around than carrying 4 or 5 and most people who buy this phone will buy it because of its features. Don't come in here saying that these companies are making phones with a bunch of things you don't need so that the consumer pays an arm and a leg for it. Sweet pea, I can afford the phone, that isn’t the issue. All I’m saying is why have a 1.3 camera when you can have a much higher quality dedicated camera? Why have a crappy phone/camcorder when you can get a much higher quality one? Why have a crappy mp3 player when you can get an ipod?
I guess your logic can be reversed….perhaps it is ALL of you that can’t afford dedicated, QUALITY products, therefore, you have to settle for a “phone” that has low-to-mediocre “all-in-one” features. I for one can afford the kick ass ipod, a smooth camcorder, and a much better digital camera.

the point is, WHY do you need a phone that takes pictures, plays mp3's, and acts as a camcorder? do you actually get that much use out of those features to justify having them even in the phone to begin with?? also, why SETTLE for low-to-mediocre quality on the camera/camcorder/mp3 when you can just purchase far superior, dedicated products (a sony digital camera, a dedicated camcorder, an ipod...etc)??

This phone isn't going to replace my MP3 player with my entire collection of MP3's or my 5MP digital camera or my camcorder. It's basically gonna give me all the FEATURES not QUALITY of my other products. I bought all those other profucts for their quality and they will still serve their purpose. I don't have a problem with signal strength or battery life or minute plans for the most part. I couldn't really ask for to much more and maybe it's just me. I have 2000 minutes and all the extras you can think of that Sprint provides shared amongst 4 lines for about $100 a month. My phone works great everywhere I have been and I have the extended battery and have no problems with it. Maybe you are just waiting for a device that will replace your iP...

EXACTLY! Thanks for the support guys. I also had a fenderbender and let me tell you that my camera phone came in handy. We didn't call the police (because I was on my way to work) but I went to get a police report that night and thank god I had this camera phone because I took pictures of the damage to my car and pictures of the car that hit me, including license plate and a face pic of the guy that hit me and I recorded him saying that he was responsible for the accident. A guy driving a T-Mobile branded SUV backed into me on a one-way street downtown as he was trying to parallel park into a spot and he "didn't see me." Anyways it's great to be able to have a camera on you when you least expect to need one.

I had an accident too a while back and my 8200 came in handy. I took a picture of the accident and his license plate. I too am here to read what everyone has to say about this phone. It sounds great!! I also own a 4 megapixel great Canon camera and just bought a 20Gig Dell DJ which is like the I-Pod. But I am into new gadgets all the time I have two Tivos which I love. And I say if you can afford it and want this phone get it it sounds great.
I just got my 8200 last year so I am not eligible for my rebate just yet and am happy with my 8200 for now. But I would love to have a 5600 and you never know I may splurge on Tax Returns and get one. I have to see one 1st and wait till it's been out a while and read other peoples reviews...

well this if for the "box" I know what you mean about pricey phones but put it like this, I don’t know what you do for a living to say that you cant afford the phone and you don’t know what I do either, but I will say this, I have a 40GB ipod, I have a very good T2 rebel Cannon camera, and I have a pretty good camcorder, but despite all that imp still going to get the MM-5600. As a matter of fact I just ordered it from sprint (for all you guys that want that phone take a look at the thread I posted). It’s just a cool device to have. I am in college and to be honest with you, I am not gong to be walking around campus with Cannon camera, and with my camcorder and with my ipod. That’s just ridiculous. I have an MP3 Player and a 5MP Camera and a Camcorder and a VoiceRecorder but who really carries all that with them? I bring my MP3 player when I am going to the gym or on a long trip. The same thing with my Camera and Camcorder if I'm going on vacation. Voice Recorder for meetings at work and that sort of thing. I don't bring my camera when I go to parties and things or to hang out with my friends all the time so its good to have a decent camera on your phone to take some decent instead of half a** picturs that my current phone takes and if it has extras like a camcorder, voice recorder and MP3 player then there is no need for me to look for my MP3 pla...

Come on "box", you can't be serious, you actually would try to sit back and judge others because they get excited about a phone. At some point you read or heard about a phone and could not wait to get it. When you got your first digital camera, like most people it was probably less than a 1MP, did you write to Cannon and demand an 8 MP right then, NO. You settled until they got better. Most people didn't envision an 8 or 10 MP camera. Not everyone on here is trying to be trendy or is a techno wizard or whatever other names you come up with. I am not ashamed to admit it, I am not any of those but I am excited about this phone.
