where will you get yours?
I wonder how much this phone will be at best buy. I am eligible for the rebate through sprint but instead of renewing my 2yr contract which is up in Nov. I am debating if its smarter to get it at best buy. In the past I dont remember phones being THAT much cheaper at best buy but I dont know. And I assume you cant get the rebate if you buy at best buy.
Also, will we have to call around and ask if stores have it around mid march? Usually it takes a while before the stores in my area(ny, long island) actually get the phones that are out and I keep calling and bugging them and they never know exactly when they will get it. What is a good way I can be sure to find it quickly after its released?

Well...as I understand it (after speaking to several Sprint Store sales reps as well as the telesales reps) when the phones are released, they are available through telesales first. Within approx a week or so they are available on the website. After that, it's anybody's guess as to when they hit the stores. I've read forums (on this website) about Radio Shack getting a new phone in stock before the Sprint Store does. Not sure if that's true or not. More than 1 Sprint Store sales rep has told me that they (the sales reps) are usually the last to find out when a new phone will be released. Perhaps one of you Sprint Sales reps who read these forums can confirm or negate that one for us! But, in my experience...you could wait upwards to a month ...

A few reps that work at the Sprint store I go to told me the same thing. That they are usually the last people to find out. I think its because most of them don't care. The ones who do care are constantly checking their inventory and their incoming phones and things like that. My buddy who works at the Sprint store told me that as soon as he gets any info on the 5600 that he will ReadyLink me and let me know which in turn I will let you all know. 🙂
