I've heard people using up to the 128mb miniSD card, but will the phone work with the 512mb or 1gb miniSd cards?

it will work with any size miniSD you can get your hands on. 512MB, 1GB, 5GB...same as would be with any other device that takes miniSD... 😁

I haven't been able to find any minisd cards that are bigger then 512MB. Some sites say that 1GB is coming soon, but no one seems to have it for sale.
ATP, (one of the companys that makes the cards), claims that theirs are 300% faster, more durable, and use less battery life then the standard cards, but still work in all the same devices. They are pretty close to the same price so I ordered the ATP one.

Yea, but 1 GB cards aren't out yet in the States. In one of the threads someone called Sanyo to confirm it.
