I know how to convert to mp4, BUT how do you upload to the phone w/o internet??
Okay so this whole not being able to use mp3s as ringtones is making me regret getting this phone. So, I've been reading the forums and I UNDERSTAND how to convert mp3s to mp4/aac. However, is there another way to get the mp4 on to your phone as your RINGTONE without using Focus through Sprintusers.com?? First of all, I don't have a text package so I get charged for Focus to text me. Secondly, I don't have internet package so I can't download the file in my text message anyway. SO - is there any way to transfer the mp4 from my computer on to the phone and/or miniSD and then set it as my ringtone? I keep trying to use the USB cable and here are my steps to try to get it to work:

you can not set an audio file as a ringer unless you use a tool such as the focus uploader. oh and incoming text messages are not counted against you, at least not to my knowledge. and as far as downloading the file, if you do not have vision i believe you pay $.01 per Kb that you upload/download so if you only do like a few ringers/month it would be cheaper than actually having vision. or you could just get vision and have the web service there for when you gotta go to the bathroom and you don't have a magazine to read.
