To me this looks like a replacement for the Nokia 6230 that Cingular recently launched. That's only if Cingular will carry it...

The 6230 is a high-end phone. It has Bluetooth, a memory card slot, and 4 minutes of video capture time.
The 6020 has none of that - it's more mid-range. In terms of features, it's much closer to the 3200. The difference is mainly that the 3000 series is aimed squarely at youth, while this is a 6000-series phone, so it has more "grown-up" styling.

It's a mid-range phone. Not every phone has high end features standard. I have this model and the 6230 i use on t-mobile. This phone does not have the 850 band on it. I think the 6021 will have 850. The camera is not as good as the 6230's but battery life, a great menu, good speaker phone make it a great back up phone for me.

my mistake, there's a us version of this phone not out yet that will have 850. I have the chinese version.

True, but looking at T-mobile's track record in phones it's VERY unlikely they'd sell an 850/1800/1900 world phone as they have a 1900Mhz only network. And as there's really no way Cingular would sell a 900/1800/1900 world phone (half useless on their network) we've all become accustomed to assuming who gets what these days.

Yes, but this phone also comes in a 900/1800/1900 version. If T-Mobile offered it, they would most likely go with that version.
There's no reason to believe they wouldn't offer it - they have always offered a good number of Nokias in their lineup. Not saying it will happen - just don't rule it out.

I'm using it on t-mobile. the 900/1800/1900 that is. It's a great mid-range phone.
