Get ready for another freebie from LG. It does have full duplex speakerphone but that is about the only good thing about this phone. I don't expect it to be too good of a phone. It will sell well since it is free but it will have issues!

I'm not sure why you are saying what you are... Are you saying just because it's an LG it will have problems? Well, I'm a wireless technician and I can tell you that the new LG phones have EXCELLENT reception that rivals even Sanyo (known for best reception). Explain yourself please.

Working in a store environment, you get programmed with all the warr. exchanges you process. Its way more often that other handset cause complaints for reception (i think it was much more the use of the internal ant. vs. external on the vi5225 for example) than Sanyo. Sanyo is far from perfect, any store rep is more than familiar with the hinge issues on all sanyo handsets but... when it comes to things like bleeding/cracked lcd's, the fact is Sanyo is King (and i must admit being a diehard Samsung fan this is hard to say)... they're build is better at taking abuse and serves the purpose of calls better than any other manuf.

Actually the 5225 and 325 both have internal antenna's as well... I use the 325 and love it. The main issue for 5225 is the the standardized charging pin breaking. As far as Sanyo hinges, yes I repair my fair share of them. However all the new phones use the newer design that doesn't have the breakage issues. I'm just curious, with the Sanyo 200, Samsung 660 (crap) and LG 125 offerings, which one survives and which if any don't. As a technician, I'm definitely NOT a fan of Samsung's as I have seen SOOO many come back with RF output issue's etc. I gave them a chance but both my 660 (3 months) and 740 (1 week) both ended up having issue's. I'm willing to give an A800 a chance though! 🙂

Exactly, now that it's out it seems to be a pretty good phone. The Sanyo 200 has Sanyo's awesome reception/call quality but no web, no external caller ID and SMALL LCD... The Sammy 660.. heh, still bad... wish it wasn't but it is...

The hinge problem on the sanyos, I've seen lots of them break, and I never bother to send them to repair, I just tell people physical damage isnt covered by the warantee and sell em a new one. You say you fix your fair share of them, are they easy and/or cheap to fix? what exactly was the problem? and you say all the new phones have the problem fixed, the only difference I see is the 5600, and I dont like the hinge on it. The 200 is slightly different but not to much.

HELP! I just received this phone and I only found 1 major problem for me which is the fonts are 1/3 the size of my Samsung. I would like larger fonts when dialing. By the way the reception is much better than any Samsung or Sanyo I've owned.

If you say, settings, display, font size it is still very small. I find this to be very weird since the outside LCD gives the Font Size I want.

So far no issues here, I decided to keep it after the 14 day trial, it has great basic features, sound, reception, and I've been very happy with the speaker phone, both in how the other person sounds, and how clearly I sound to them - especially handy while I'm driving. I don't use the web on my phone or need a camera, and wanted something small, (previously had a 2.5oz SCP6400) so this phone, for me, is perfect. I'm hoping it will last as long as my previous phone though, I went for 2 years with no problems at all. I haven't heard great things about dealing with Sprint's customer service if things go wrong 😕
