Unfortunately you cannot, but you can sue third-party sites to upload that MP3 ringtone to the phone. I've done it.
You can play Mp3's using the earpiece, the speakerphone issue is not that big since you can max out the speaker volume and its loud enough to hear.

also do u mean the ones where u send the site the ringtone then they will upload it on the internet and u go and download that ringtone from the site they give u from ur phone?
