Not a true tri-band phone!

Calling this phone a tri-band phone is a little misleading. Many customers have come to know a "tri-band" phone is one that you can use in many parts of Europe and Asia.

However, the three bands -- 850, 1800, 1900 -- offered on this phone are only for the U.S. Region (and maybe a few countries in Europe with the 1900 band). Even on the T-Mobile website they said it's "Domestic Tri-Band."

What was the reason for this move by Samsung? Will it offer better roaming service in the U.S.? Or are they trying to pass it on as another Tri-Band phone? (P735 was a real tri-band)

Band 850 will allow the E-335 to roam in more places on the T-MO network like example t-mo expanded their coverage in i think minnesota you need a band 850 phone to roam. So its kind of better.
