Samsung SCH-A570
Huh?
By the way its a piece of crap, with no speakerphone and all.
The Samusng A570 offers a formidable upgrade from the A650, not to mention being built better than all of the other Motorolas and Kyoceras Verizon tries to pass off to you...
Get a clue.
Thanks

I agree! Had a chance to play with the phone at a local RS store. 1st, it's very attractive to look at with it's dark blue-slate color (a nice change from silver!), like the smooth rounded edges...make's it nice to hold. Has a better selection of ringers (and yes, some normal ones!) and wallpapers than my N330. Plus some nice, easy to use functions. Also has an outer display, which the Samsung A650 did not have. It's a great phone for those who want to have a phone do what it does best...make and receive phone calls! 🙂

Kinda reminds me of the Samsung a500 put out by Sprint about 3 years ago...best damn handset Samsung ever made.

LOL. Couldn't have put it better myself. And yes, it's definitely an upgrade. But I do hope they give the 570 better signal holding capabilities. I had to go back to my Nokia 3589i for that very reason. First Samsung CDMA product I've ever used that didn't get the accustomed great RF.
Oh yeah, the vibrate mode is wimpier than my old LG, too.
Wish RS had more choices in the basic lineup.

Anyone else but confused about this phone coming out??

It's called "entry level", kiddies. You know, for folks that just want a basic flip to make calls on? Verizon could use a couple of these. And for your information, Samsung on Verizon's network means quality...not "crap".

Why do people expect every single phone to have ALL the bells and whistes and cool features of a high end phone? Im guessing there's some idiotic logic in their mind such as Entry Level + All Cool Features = Cheap Price! Well, yeah, once you add the cool features you leave the "Entry Level behind ya peopl...

Why in the world would you be confused? It's an entry-level phone, and there's nothing wrong with that. Many ppl actually prefer entry-level phones, because either
a) they do not give a crap about having all the bells n' whistles, since they do not use them
b) they want a cheaper phone
c) their workplace does not ALLOW cameraphones, for security reasons
Why should all phones be high-end phones? That's rather silly. 🙄

Another fuqin entry level phone????? 🙄 Yuck!!!
Yes, you're right. All Verizon's handsets should be space age. Ultra cutting edge stuff. Pfft. 🙄
