Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood
Possible Release Date 05/15
i spoke with a manager at verizon at he stated that 05/15/05 they are releasing there new phones for the month and he wont know until a couple of days before if the E 815 is one of them, we can only hope.

there is no phones releasing on the 15th... the only phone shown to be released in may so far is the Treo 650 on the 24th of may... I'm thinking a june release phone

Hey as far as im concerned and from what i heard from motorola they are planning a may release date june if delays occure it reminds me of the v65p that phone shocked everyone and popped out of nowhere we could be looking at the same situation lets just hope this phone is as good as everyone is making it sound ecspecially for how motorola has been lately!

just remember that we will see this phone in a RS stores about 1-2 weeks before the VZW stores and agents.. its apart of RS and Motorola agreement it happens with all the Moto phones RS chooses to carry

I don't understand why Phonescoop has this phone's release date May. Maybe because that's when we'll start to see it at RS stores. I keep telling you guys in many different posts on this website that there is NO WAY you will see this in Verizon corporate stores until AT THE ABSOLUTE EARLIEST the first week of June. I'm more willing to bet second week.

You never know anymore with cell phones you cant predict a thing. The V65p was a complete surprise to everyone phonescoop.com didnt even have a FCC ID # for it and it was released I called Motorola and they finally said May latest early June if there are delays. But once again can we put are faith in Motorola for the crap they been tossing out lately?

I could care less about bluetooth. I've had a v710 with the revised firmware and have had absolutely no problems with the phone. By the way the v65p was not released out of nowhere. I would seriously be shocked if this phone was released in Verizon stores in May.

The 15th is A Sunday. They will not launch the phone on a Sunday. Verizon traditionally launches their phones on Tuesdays for some weird reason and occasionally Thursdays. If (and that is a big if) it is going to be launched in May, I would say the 24th or the 31st.

When I asked about the release date for the 8100 I was told "End of the month" by 4 different people. Yea in our area in Michigan they get their new phone shipments well and shipments on Thursdays and they release the phone on Monday. Thats when they plan on releasing the Motorola A840 is Monday May 23. They did the same thing with the Motorola V65p got it in on Thursday couldnt sell it till monday. I had to laugh a little when i read that this person took back 6 V710's to Verizon i took back 4 and most recent and last one was today and the customer service lady told me that thats funny you are returning this we never have any problems with this phone 😳 i had no clue where she was coming from. Howard forums users are suggesting dates around the 24th as well (and people here previously have suggested that date). Hope so, we'll see...
