Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood
use Verizon's moto e815 for Ampd Mobile?
I'm using a Verizon's motorola E815, and I wonder if there's a way for me to use this phone and switch the service to Ampd Mobile? Customer Service from Ampd mobile says it can't be done because the E815 made for Ampd Mobile has a software that makes it compatible with their service, and that my Verizon phone won't work even if I have it unlocked.
Does anyone know any tricks? I like to keep the phone, but want to switch to Ampd Mobile and use their pay-as-you-go service. I rarely use more than 60 minutes/month, so it's a waste to pay for 450 minutes every month with Verizon :-(.
Thanks in advance.
Amp'd Mobile's prepaid has no connection fee. I don't use my cell phone that much, so I could spend $10/month with Amp'd Mobile instead of $50/month with Verizon. Amp'd already confirms to me that they do use Verizon's network, the only network that has signal inside my house!
The thing is I have the Verizon's Moto E815 and Amp'd Mobile says it won't work because their phones have some software in it. I just wonder if there's a way to have the software on my phone because the phones are practically identical.
