LG VX-8100
This phone is really pissing me off.
I waited a whole extra year for this phone to come out when I upgraded from the 4400. I have had the latest update but the people working on the firmware need to move faster. When I went to version 7 it eliminated me being able to go get my downloads back. Basically no Apps.
I have been waiting for sims 2 for verizon. Well it is available, just not to us. I added my brother to my account and got him a motorola 276 and he can get it.
I bought the LG because I thought it was capable or everything. Havent been able to use it as a modem either for my palm. Getting more frustrated as time goes bye. 👿

I also purchased the 8100 for the games. I'm a big Pogo fan and this phone had 2 of the 3 games I wanted. I was told by Verizon and Get it now that the games might be available and then again they might not. They said it was up to the mfg of the games to remake these games to work with the ver 7 flash. I had these games before the flash. I had reboot problems with ver 4. I wasn't interested in getting the music because I already have an MP3 player and this feature was just a waste to me. I contacted EA games and they keep telling me to check on their web site for phone updates. I tried telling them that the games were available before. But they just gave me the same answer. I have now discovered when I go to the verizon website it says there are games that are available for our phone but they don't come up. Like The Family Guy and The Sims Connected version. I don't know why The regular version of Sims is not. Not that it matters because what the website says and what actually comes up on the phone are 2 different things. I guess I will just have to wait until I get my new laptop. 😕

just so you know:
on the verizon site there are two choices for the vx8100:
vx8100 (v.04 and below) and
LG8100VCASTMusic (v.07)
Make sure you are selecting the correct phone model. ðŸ¤
side note: the reason some games won't run on the v.07 handsets is because v.07 takes up more of the internal memory than v.04 to allow for the MOD player. Not sure if anyone here noticed, but the vx8100 v.07 is a bit slower than the v.04 phones at loading pics, menu navigation, animated GIF speed, etc...
the v.07 phones simply don't have enough available memory to run the faster-processing games.
