sup fellaz...I got this phone, and whenever someone leaves me a message, i get the voicemail icon on my phone...when I access my voicemail and delete that message, the icon wont go away, unless I do a master reset...can someone help please??

How tough are these SEEM edits to master? Last time I looked, I couldn't find clear instructions and there seemed to be an awful lot of folks who had tried and were now wondering how to get their phones working again. This is a nice phone and I'd love to get it working right but don't want to mess it up in the process.

in section 4.2. You should also read the link in that section for xlr8's SEEM map. That will tell you the 0032 SEEM you need to edit for the problem. If you search around howardforums.com there are tons of posts about it too.
SEEM editing looked really difficult and confusing at first, but I somewhat understand it now. I never had the voicemail problem, though, so I've never dealt with that particular SEEM.

I followed your flash/flex guide last night and this morning to flash my V635 up to 88R. Guess I'll go the distance to 6FR tonight. You've been a great help!

Just to update everyone... I did flash to 6FR without any problems. Then, after reading the guides on SEEM editing that tracymarie recommended, I downloaded P2KMAN and a new websession folder that had Cingular settings in it. I used P2KMAN to delete the websession folder that was on my V635 and replaced it with the new one. The phone seems to be working fine now. Somewhere along the way the voicemail icon quit being a problem. Not sure if it was something in the websession folder replacement or something in the 6FR flash.
Whew - it all worked and now I feel like I can settle back and enjoy this awesome phone.
