MP3 player HELP!!!
I just got the USB cord and a earpiece so I can now finally figure out this MP3 player thing. I loaded a song to test and it plays well, except it stops when I close the phone. Isn't it suppose to work with the clamshell closed? What setting do I need to change?
Also, I installed Mobile Phone Tools Version 3.0 but it doesn't work. I can't sync my contacts and the phone image that pops up says "initializing". What do I need to download to make this work for my v635???

How long did you wait for it to initialize? I remember it taking a while the first time.
As far as the music - the mp3 player is supposed to work with the flip closed. If you were using the music player in the multimedia menu, you have to hide it before it will play closed.

I waited for like 20 minutes for the phone to initialize. Nothing happened.
I figured out that the best way to use the MP3 player is to download the files into the sound folder of the flash drive and listen through that rather than the Java app MP3 player. It's easier to adjust the volume controls that way - I can still use the external volume controls when the phone is open. Otherwise, with the MP3 Player I have to scroll to the volume and quickly change it before it resets and the volume control screen closes. Very dumb design - not well designed AT ALL!
My husband helped me figure out that I had to "HIDE" the sound menu before I could close it. But I am just so glad I can actually use it as an MP3 player!!!!!! I was almost ...
