Received Phone Today. Why Not For US? Was $70 With Service @ J&R Electronics

I received two of the phones today with T-mobile service, ported and ready to go from J&R Electronics. This phone blows away the V551 I had. It does things the V551 SHOULD have done. I can only assume that the phone is too expensive for the US carriers to "give away." It works like a charm on T-mobile, although I have yet to try any downloads from them, if they are possible.

Yes, I had to sign a 1 year contract with T-mobile. My Cingular contract was up and I decided to try "T." Reception with T-mobile is no better than Cingular, but customer service is much nicer.
