Nokia 6682 / 6681
Using a 6682 from Cingular in Brazil - Do I need to unlock?
(From Googling on the subject, I was only able to find out that Brazil uses 900 & 1800 MHz GSM format.)
TIA!
I took my phone to Italy and it was $1.29/minute + intl. tax which was like another .20 or .30.
I tried my wife's cousin's SIM card in the phone. It asked me for his password. We entered it, then it told me that I wasn't going to be able to use it.
My Cingular SIM worked fine with his cheap-ass Panasonic phone and I even sent myself an SMS message with it.
Before you go.... find yourself a cheap-ass GSM phone and get a prepaid card down in Brazil.... unless you can get your 6682 unlocked. Then... please let us know how you were able to do that....
