Nokia 6682 / 6681

I recently bought an N6680 phone and I was wondering if anybody know which carriers should work with my phone. I was thinking of getting it with cingular but there's T-mobile. Any suggestion on which would be best for a service for my phone? My phone is a triband GSM(900,1800,1900Mhz)

i just purchased this phone several days ago and thus far, i'm truly love it! the one thing that frustrates me is i can't seem to figure out how i transfer an item to the memory card after i've sent it to the phone via bluetooth. i've got a mac and i'm using the system bluetooth functionality to send a file (in this case, it's the user's manual for the phone. thought it'd be handy to have on the phone memory card until i find other items to fill it with) via bluetooth to the phone. the file sends perfectly fine and the file shows up as a message in my inbox along with all my other text messages. the only available option i have from here is to move the file into my "My Folders" folder. this seems to do no good because it's still residing in ...

I just bought me a nokia 6680 and I was wondering if anyone know if a one gig rs-mmc will work with N6680? Do I have to do anything to my phone to make it to work?

So, having had my 6682 more than 2 months, and just TODAY did I notice a thin clear plastic cover to the screen! Not a huge difference after I pulled it off, but I JUST saw it.

Of course, as soon as I stopped laughing at myself, I started getting paranoid about the screen getting scratched. . .

Is it true that this phone is being discontinued once again? Per phonescoop, it is. Does anyone know if they planning on doing another update for the new problems? Nokia is still heavily promoting this phone on their website, along with in magazines.

I have a 2 week old Nokia 6682 that has worked perfect. Until today, that is. The phone has shut itself off twice today. I had in a OEM Nokia holster with the keys locked and it still did it. It there a problem with this happening with this phone? Thanks

I've had my phone with the new 4.62.0 firware for a little over a week now, and the first "couple" days..........were uneventful.

In the last few days, Ive had numerous "white screens".......most seem to be when I'm in bluetooth, but a couple seem related to moving from one application to another.......

Yesterday.....I experienced a really "freaky one".......I was trying to connect my bluetooth headset with the phone and it white screened, reset itself & when it rebooted, it had switched themes............most everything else was the same.......

Has ANYONE.....had any similar problems as mentioned above, or anyones that were not mentioned????????

Does this phone have an alert to tell you you've missed a call, have an email, or have a text message? Like a beeping sound or something. If not, is there additional software that will do this? TIA.

OK Guys and Gals. I'm at a loss.
I have read every thread on the DUN fearture on this phone and I still can't get it to work.

I have tried the WAP@cingulargprs.com and ISP@cingulargprs.com. I have tried the *99***1# and *99*1. I have downloaded different modem strings. I have tried every combination of all of the above and more and I still can't get it to work.

When I call Cingular they tell me that I need to have a Data plan. Right now I have Unlimited MediaNet. I have a friend that has an s710a with a MediaNet plan and he is able to use his phone thru bluetooth as a modem.

Please tell me I'm not crazy.
Please tell me that I don't need a Data Package.
Please tell me someone knows how to get this to work and can give me EX...

Is there something I need to do to the phone so that it will display when I have a voicemail? My old 6310i used to display an envelope when I had a message, and my new 6682 doesn't seem to display anything. What am I missing?

I have had my phone since it was originally released to the public through Cingular with no problems (still using the original FW and the 32k SIM)... but the last day or too my phone started acting strange. Fearing that something might be amiss, I thought I would allow the phone to do a complete reset by taking all the cards out and reseating everything. When I went to remove the SIM, I noticed that it wasn't locked into place. After rolling my eyes and sighing, I locked the SIM in by sliding the black bracket to the right until it clicked... problem solved.

So why am I telling you all this? Before you call anyone, just check to make sure everything is properly seated... does wonders for the little phone!

Hello. I'm trying to get Opera to work on my new Nokia 6682. Does it have to be enabled through Cingular? Any help would be appreciated.

Does anybody know of any software out there or anything that I can do that will raise the speaker or headphone volume while you are listening to mp3s?

My phone has been going haywire recently, mainly the link to the 'GALLERY' function no longer works. To access my pics, songs etc.. I now have to go into the file manager. I'm wondering if anyone else had a similar problem. I'm thinking its an issue with the memory card, and I'm considering re-formatting it. Any ideas?

Ok, so I've wanted this phone since it was first ever mentioned on Phonescoop, and I just got mine today! I'm trying to sync my phone and computer. I installed the PC Suite, and clicked on the get connected icon. I followed the prompts to connect my phone to the cable and the cable to the pc. Now I am on the screen that says drivers are installed after the cable is plugged in. Please be patient. Well, I'm being patient, but I don't think it should be taking this long. It's been about 20-25 minutes. Is there something else I need to do?

So does anyone use SBC's DSL service with the SBC/Yahoo! brand? They have launched a new application for the Nokia Series 60 phones... so the 6682 works with the new application. It syncs your contacts, emails, calendar/todos, and photos with your Yahoo! account. Looking at the service, I looks like it could interact with any Yahoo! account, not just the SBC/Yahoo! branded service.

It consumes a lot of internet bandwidth, I had the basic multimedia package and it went over the 1mb in the first day. Fortunately I had called Cingular the same day and was able to upgrade to unlimited internet before I got hit with a bunch of overages. Though I don't know yet how much I am consuming... Cingular's website does require 30 days to reset on ...
