Sony Ericsson K750 / W800 / D750 / W700
SE Site: K750i coming to U.S.
Interesting that it's not listed as the D750i - the same phone for T-Mobile in the UK. Don't know if that means the K750i won't be coming to T-Mobile in the U.S., or if some other carrier might pick up the K750i and T-Mobile will bring over the D750i eventually.
I know it can be bought online and used with T-Mobile, but it's nice to see that (eventually, at least) it will be officially supported by a U.S. carrier.
I want to get my hands on this phone, but I'm worried about it lacking the 850 band. Anybody know it's effectiveness in the bay area, San Francisco? Also, where can I get one?
thanks.
it could very well be these phones are merely sold through sony ericsson's online store for the us. in addition, it should be noted that SE has now removed the k750i from their US website, but the W800i remains.
Did you see the K750 on the SE site?
I purchased the K750 in June 2005. I always go to SE's UK site for the K750 support.
Furthermore, because the K750 (or W800) do not support GSM 850, the receiption on my K750 just got dropped on Nov 6, 2005 because Cingular decided to take down their GSM 1900 in Oklahoma City and smaller market areas.
