Probably around $500. You are better off getting the 8100. Does the same stuff, but much cheaper.

I'll take my 8100 over the 7000 anyday. The 7000 is HUGE and looks like a brick. The 8100 feels much smaller (even though the dimensions are pretty close) and fits in my hand MUCH better than the 7000.

And the keyboard is worthless if you are trying to text while driving.

Why couldn't you text from the outside screen? Still has a number pad while closed... you shouldn't be texting and driving anyways... I don't... lol... 🤭

You could text from the outside screen, but that is a VERY tiny screen. And that brings me back to my original point....Why spend $300 (or $500 at full retail) for this phone when you can spend $100 (or free with NE2 or $270 full retail) for the 8100 and get the same feature set without the keyboard?

What you do, is you call and bitch and complain to customer service 1-800-922-0204, until they get you a deal. Stress on how long you been with the company, average spending per month (in our wireless language we call it ARPU) and the most important part is be firm but civil. Don't ever mention other carriers, cuz if you do, we take it as a threat and argue even harder with you. Most likely you will get your self an early upgrade or some type of account credit, so it is better than full retail price. I work there, I know....

verizon_slave. You are what makes all Verizon Wireless employees look bad. You are not only wrong on most of your opinons, but are hurting our company and the industry in general. You should take arpu (and yes I know what it stands for) up your _____________!

In the wireless industry loss of integrity (mouthing off against a company's policies) equals loss of employment. If you can't follow the ethics you agreed to, then quit. People like you are only there for the paycheck others are there because they care about what they do and how they help people. For those who want the phone, wait for some user reviews to find out if the phone is good for your needs, others can pay retail or take your chances on an auction, just like the rest of us.

the "look" of like a digital camera on the back (blatent rip off from sony ericsson) is a good selling point as well

Why the hell are you trying to text while driving? 👿 I hope to god you live nowhere near me. I want to reach my destination alive, even if it means waiting a few minutes before reaching for the phone.

It does have a keyboard It opens to one. Look at the picture. I want to know what operating system it will be working on? I have a Sansung i730 and am looking to replace it ASAP.

Why would you replace your i730 with the 9800? It is completely different, i730 is a pocket pc windows smart mobile. 9800 is a sophisticated "sidekick." I hope you are not like a lot of our customers who spend tons of money to buy the high-end advance phones, and don't even use half of the applications that the phones offer...if that’s the case, should seriously reconsider re-budgeting your precious money.. And perhaps invest it on other cool gadgets…
