I high end cmos like in DSLR may be better than a CCD but not the crap they use in these phones a ccd will definatly be better.

You know, I can't see the difference when I look at phone cameras with difference fab processes at the same resolution. They all look like crap.
You want to take serious pictures, get good digital camera. Not a phone.
You want to play around, then by all means get a phone and argue CCD vs CMOS 🙂
