Why are there no external caller id's on these samsungs....i know they are trying to cut csts but to me that is crucial...

I think most people would WANT external caller ID, but carriers want cheap phones to give away with service. It's funny what people will compromise just so they don't have to ante up $19 for a phone with what they want on it. This will probably be a hot seller.
I went from a flip with caller ID on the external screen to a phone without external display and can honestly say I haven't missed the caller ID much. The only annoying thing is having to open the phone up to see what time it is.
I lke the styling on this phone a lot more than the recent Samsung creations.
