It may be worth it if the quality is excellent and if it doesn't have all the issues being complained of here about the LG and Motorola.

At some point, people will pay (just about) anything to get a phone that WORKS!!!

Anyway, there may be some rebates or special deals, especially considering so many people had problems with their 8100 and 815 models!!

Maybe Verizon will be merciful...

I have the new every2 that i havent used so t wont be to bad for the phone. if the phone works, thats the reason i didnt try a 4th 8100 on my new every2, i sent them all back and got my credit back for them. Im hoping they fix all the problems before this phone comes out unlike the 8100. i cant vouch for the e815, i didnt have one.

All i know is that i dont have a new every two credit and i think this is crazy...the 815 is only 100 and the 8100 is 150, as far as i'm concerned this is stupid!!!!!!

Yes, and look at the problems associated with those phones!

Sometimes you have to pay for quality (if in fact this phone is quality - which we will soon learn).

The features are great, but people aren't going to buy this phone off the shelves until the price goes down. Maybe I'll wait til their clearance sale. 😁 But by then something else will be looking better, life sucks.

$299? I suppose that's acceptable IF the phone functions as described. Look at Sprint's Sanyo 5600 - $279, and no bluetooth...but at least with Sprint the phone functions work 100% MP3's and all.

Yep! I think you might be right - you usally get what you pay for / all I know is that the a670 is a very good and highly rated phone (especially voice clarity) and only lacks desirable features such as speakerphone,EVDO and bluetooth for some! If that is any indication, the 970 could be a better phone than either the 8100 or the 815 (albeit more costly too)
😕 😕 😕

It seems like Samsung is more expensive overall. The old a890 still costs more than either the 8100 or the 815.

So, since the a970 will have a few more features, and hopefully better quality, I can understand the extra price.

But, true, the cost is WAY above the others.

As I've said before, though, some people will pay any price to get a phone that really WORKS, without having to hack it!!

If you look at other companies 299 isnt really that big of a deal. the i860 from nextel was the same price when it came out and it didnt have a megapixel camera or bluetooth and that was in december. and tons of people bought that phone.

in reality its not that big of a deal.
