Which one should I buy Samsung a970 or Motorola Razr V3c?

Well it all depends upon what you like. Although ive never dealt with this phone (sammy) it SEEMS as if its a very delicate phone and its an accident waiting to happen. But i could be completely wrong. if you like to take videos and pictures with your phone, this is for you, it has a 2 megapixel camera and wud get the job done rite. But if ur just lookin for the coolness factor and that stuff just go with the razr. I personally am gettin the razr this appeals to me very much. But the razr does have alot of nice features as well as the samsung. So go to the store and handle each of them wen the razr comes out and see which one suits you best. Thats really the best way to go by. Hope this helps.

I handled the V3 and i own the A970 the rzr feels like its gonna break off in my hand in a second while even thou the samsung twist a lot it has a very soild feel too it. THe rzr also failed the vzn 6 foot fall test. which is were they drop the phone from 6 feet up and it still had too work. The sammy passed but it rzr broke on pretty much every drop. This is why it took so long for it to come to vzn. The rzr also does not have that many features when you compare it to the Mot. E815. If you want features go with Sammy. If you want something that looks nice but you have too be super careful about then i would get the rzr. Me personally I would also look in the LG "The V"

Thank you for the nice information guys. I checked out the Sammy and I actually really like its feature, but the price is kind of too high right now. I was waiting for it to drop, but it seems like no one knows when this might drop. Since there is $100 gap between them... I'm still not sure if the Sammy is worth the $100 more.

Well, I have the 815 for myself and 970 for my fiancee. The sammy is completely worth the extra. The features are great, the innovations are right on and the phone as a phone alone is great (signal and battery life). It is SOLID.
However, for the price, you can't beat the 815. It's proven to be the best phone for me, as a rookie buisness traveller. And I like the extra large screen and non-VZW interface.

I got the sammy for different reasons than the ones I ended up liking it best for..and one of the reasons is the ability to take camcorder movies AND transfer them to the PC with the trans card(the razr has no external card)....not only that,but the 970 has better reception than my LG 4500 even dreamed about......the voice quality is excellent,battery life with the std batt is better then the lg with the extended battery........oh,one more thing....which people fail to mention,somehow......go to the verizon store,get on vcast,and try the speakers on all of the current models..(8100,950,etc...)....the 970 has the best sounding,loudest speakers on the planet.....

I just returned the Razr for the a970 and am sooooo happy. It totally depends on what you want though. The Razr is very thin, but a huge keypad - just so wide of a phone that it takes away from the general sleek idea. It also doesn't have a lot of customizing ability in the menu, whereas the Samsung does. I can now tailor all my little preferences for myself and am so happy with that. I like being able to use all buttons on the keypad with one hand on the Samsung.
Basically though, I feel that these phones are vastly different from each other and that only you can compare what you like. Try both - that's what's great about the trial period :-)
