For the person above who asked: the Nokia 6256i is a phone supposedly coming out next week - it should be compared with all of these new phones.
Me: I am just looking for a good phone that will stay contemporary for a few years - but I get the idea that those who bought the LG 8100 will not give in that their phone does have problems. Mary, you probably got lucky - but if you read all of these boards you will have to admit that there have been sufficient problems with the 8100 for those owners to now look for alternatives.

Oh, I don't know.......perhaps someone who is just interested in a good phone!!! Remember them? That is what cell phones were originally intended to do: be a good phone away from your land line! I am not saying that the Nokia 6256i is the phone to get - since I have never even seen it; however, for me before any of these other gadgets come into play - I would just like a cell phone that gets good reception - doesn't lose calls - has good voice clarity and loudness (both ways) - has bluetooth capabilities. The Samsung 950 did not get adequate signal anywhere in my home, where I had no problems with any LG model or the Moto 815 (which I finally got and kept); I could make calls from the inner parts of my basement with those phones. I got zero signal with the A950. In testing that phone in the store, and areas surrounding it, I got great signal and call quality.
