I would like to know what is the difference in using Evdo, Cdma & Hybrid on this phone?

Which one allows you to get more battery life from your battery and which one gives you better reception on the phone 🙂

EVDO is the highspeed network. CDMA 1x-RTT is the dial-up speed. Hybrid I'm not sure what you are talking about. But what is nice about EVDO is that if you lost the EVDO signal, the CDMA technology has the ability to switch back and forth between 1x and EVDO without you losing your connection. Hope that answers your question.

-EVDO is VCast service.

-When you see the EV in the display you can watch VCast.

-CDMA is 1X mode only. That's the good ol' Verizon network that everyone knows and uses and used before EVDO and VCast came out.

-Hybrid mode sets the phone to look for either the EV or 1X all the time. This DRAINS the battery. When the phone can't find an EV signal it will kick over to the 1X signal and whenever it sees EV it will go back. This is somewhat like analog on the older phones and it drains the battery quicker.

-Just remember that whenever you do *228, option 2, the phone will go back to Hybrid mode. Just go back into the secret menu and put the phone back on CDMA only.
