If your referring to using a USB Bluetooth adapter w/ Bitpim vs. a data cable, then yes this works just fine.

You know what....come to think of it I thought I heard somewhere on here awhile back that you can't transfer via BT like you can on the 8100. You may want to verify that with someone currently using the 950. (I tried it out for awhile, but am back to my 8100, so I can't try it out for you).
No BT transfers...the only BT profiles that are supported are headsets (VZW diabled feature).
Also, no cable transfers yet because....no cables available yet!!!
If so, there is a cable out. Type (a590 cable) in the search on ebay and you will find them. Make sure it is OEM.

There are cables for the a950 (got an OEM for around $7 (http://www.yourwirelesssource.com/), and though Bitpim does not fully support the a950, you can still do file transfers(pics, ringtones, etc.) using the filesystem tab within Bitpim.
