What a FOOL!
Has anyone read the so called review from the so called Sprint employee? He rated this phone 1 out of 5 which is his opinion. However he loses all credibility when he states the A700 had the same swivel screen that the A940 has. I had the A700 and the screen did not swivel. Not sure where he works but I don't think he is a Sprint employee. This phone is a far cry from a 1 out of 5. This just cracks me up some sanyo lover trashing another phone. Don't get me wrong I have sanyo phones right now the 5600 and it's a great phone. I also have the A800, mm880 and now the A940. A mod sure remove that worthless review and ban that person from ever coming back to phonescoop.

I must admit. That review made me think if I want the Sanyo MM-9000 or this Samsung. Ive had both brands before. My current Sanyo 8100 has been better than my old Samsungs but then again its a lot newer. I really want Bluetooth in a flip phone and this is the only one sprint has. So far they dont have it in stock in my area (Connecticut).

If you are concerned about what that person said they you shouldn't get the phone. I have the phone and it is probably better than any other phone out on the market today. I can't think of another phone that has it's capabilities. It's an awesome phone inside and out the flip is solid the phone feels solid as a whole. The 9000 felt to me like a piece of plastic no substance to it at all. I like a heavier phone that you can tell you have something there. The mp3 player plays flawlessly as does sprint tv. Im watching the NFL Network Live right now. They are talking about Terrel Owens and how he has talked himself out of Philly and maybe football alltogether. You can't play with a phone for 5 minutes and make a judgement on it. If you...

Thanks! Solid is good. Ive dropped my old phone many times over the past 2 years and its still cranking but its a tank. If/when the local stores around here get that phone I'll compare the 9000 with this one. Since I have two residences, the cell phone is my main phone and having bluetooth and fast email access should make it a dream.

I've dropped my phone a lot too which makes me lean towards the sanyo. Mine being a sanyo 8100 it's held up through hitting it with the claw end of a hammer (though in close quarters, not full power) and countless drops while I was drunk. I've had it for 2 years and it's just some outside wear on the thing. Everything still works perfectly. That swivel makes me lean towards the sanyo flip because I'm not sure it can keep up with the punishment I'll put it through. Then again if I were to spend $300 or more on a phone I might have a tighter grip on it, plus I'm not doing construction anymore or I'd get a Nextel.

Well it looks like they got rid of the one bad review. I also currently have the 8100 and its really rugged. My two previous phones were samsungs and those were pretty good too. I even dropped one in a lake where it sat in the mud for 20 min before I found it. It still worked but I wasnt going to chance it so I bought a new one.
The Sanyo has better reception than my old samsungs but then again.. its a lot newer. The newer sanyos dont feel like the 8100 tank.

It's not so much just remove the bad review, the guy or person didn't even own the phone and he is giving it a review. Give me a break! I have had my phone for a week now and love it. I like it so much I am retiring my 5600. I thought that phone was one of the best ever from Sprint. He played with it for a few minutes and came to his conclusion the phone was not worth it. Did you make any calls with it? Did you take pictures with it? How about video? Did you play songs with the mp3 player? This guy didn't do crap, he probably can't afford to buy it so he says he is a Sprint employee and states the phone sucks. He stated that the A700 had a swivel screen like the A940 well if you know anything about Sprint phones and are an employe...

Well Im glad they removed it. I usually focus on the bad reviews because too many people get into the hype of a phone and focus on the great new features. So I get a lot out of the bad reviews (which is why I stayed away from the LG bluetooth phone).
I was told that this phone will be available this week around these parts.
