Problems with Echo on 7130?
Researching an issue for my boss. He has a Blackberry 7130, a Motorola H70 Blue-tooth Headset, and a Motorola Premium Bluetooth Wireless in-car kit. His provider is Verizon. He has been having horrible problems with echo on calls (both incoming and outgoing) and has already returned both the 7130 and the H70 once to see if that would remedy the issue. There is no remedy for the echo, it is a known problem with the phone, you just have to replace it until you get one without. I have the same problem with my 7130e but not on a consistant basis. I had a customer with that problem and we did a DOA on it.

I had the same issue with an echo on my 7130. I found that the echo was worse when I had the volume set high. Try setting the volume as low as possible so you can just hear the caller. That has helped reduce the echo. I think the microphone picks up the sound from the speaker if the volume is too high.

Indigonights, if your boss hasn't solved his problem yet tell him to ditch the Motorola H70 bluetooth or sell it on eBay. Have him buy a Plantronics Voyager 510 bluetooth headset (make sure you get the newest model - version "G") and carefully adjust the volume control on both the device and the Blackberry to find the "happy medium". I did a lot of research before my recent purchases and it really paid off for me. Hopefully it will for him too. Aside from potentially being in a "service hole" this should solve his problem.

I have the same problems with mine. I do not hear the Echo but people I am talking to always say they can hear themselves. I have found that lowering the volume or using my blue tooth solves the problem.
