U.S. Release?
How long does it usually take for a phone to be released in the U.S.? How long do you think it will take for this phone to be released in the U.S.?

It depends on the carrier. T Mobile who is a strong candidate to get this phone or the E 730 usually will push it out stateside as soon as they have sufficient inventory and a negotiated price.
Cingular on the other hand puts a phone through very rigerous testing. It takes at least a month if not more! Many phones such as the Motorola V 635 are announced for release and never make it through testing.

Cingular will not get this phone, since the phone doesn't have the 850MHz freq. band that they need. They do have 1900MHz coverage, but not big like their 850MHz band network. T-Mobile USA might get this phone, since it has the 1900MHz band.

All depends on where you are located. Cingular does have 1900Mhz coverage, and it might work in your area, but, if you travel in rural area, then it might not.

It would be nice to see it released here in Iowa..with TMobile..just not sure how well it will work in "rural" Iowa even with another's GSM carrier providing service to this 90th and plowed ground address! Coverage with GSM here is good! But still I wonder about this phone.
