I recently purchased the razrV3c from Alltel & am trying to backup my contacts with isync. Alltel does not offer at this time any solution ,from what little info I get here locally or via their web site or even motorola for that matter. Moto doesn't even list Alltel as a vendor.

Apple claims to support this phone with their isync program provided you are running OSX.4.3 & isync 2.1 . I have posted on isync support page my situation , without success.

An edit to the metaclasses .plist is needed. There is information on how to do this on Howard Forums. Check out the Verizon>Motorola phone thread there. Lots of detailed info on how to do it.

BTW, I have done this previously with my USCC v710 and it worked great, though I use OnSync, a shareware program. However, the V3c probably is better using iSync.

Good luck!

fincher,
thanks for the info . I went to Howard Forums and found just what I needed. After replacing/updating the .plist my phone synced beautifully.
Now I will have to fine tune my address/contacts.

thank you

No problem. You might want to try OnSync as it handles the contacts portion quite well and better than iSync in my opinion.

OnSync is shareware ($10) but the demo version works great except it only transfers contacts 1:1 instead of all at once.
