I am not up for a contract renewal so I am going to have to pay for phone. What/where is the best price deal? I live in NYC if that matters.

Just go check out your local verizon store, or maybe a bestbuy if you have one in your area.

You will have to pay full-retail, regardless, since your not do for an upgrade. It is $419.99. Not likely to get any "deals" better than that since it is so new. Even though they tell you otherwise, you can still get the $100 MIR. If they won't give you the form, go to www.verizonwirelessrebates.com, fill out the online form and submit it along with necessary paperwork (UPC, receipt) and you will recieve your rebate and end up paying $319.99 in the end.
