I want to charge my v3c from my laptops USB port. I tried connecting then with a USB cable, but the phone does not charge, I am just prmpted to install drivers. Do I have to buy Motorola's Mobile Phone Tools to make that work, or can I just download the drivers from someone place else?

You need BVRP's software, which does infact come with Motorola's "MPT" software.... it will automatically install the V3C driver for you...... It will install the razr as a dial up modem, allowing you to use the razr as a modem aswell (DUN). 😉 which is the connection I'm using now to reply to your post.

Thanks for the reply. Any suggestion regarding the best place to buy the MPT software?
