The end or the Razr?

I heard on the news today that Cingular and T-Mobile are discontinuing the sale of the Razr because of the number of dropped calls with the phone. Apparently, the razr has the highest amount of dropped calls out of all their phones...Should this be a warning to potential V3c buyers?? Any opinions??

Shouldn't be a warning to potential customers at all. It says it in the article itself:

"The glitch does not affect Razrs sold through Verizon Wireless, because Verizon uses a different wireless technology than Cingular and T-Mobile.”

I laughed when I saw the segment on CNN Business.

The Razr V3c is a pretty controversial phone with many pro's and con's, but the one consistent pro for the Verizon version is the call quality and lack of dropped calls even with only one bar showing.

I think Cingular just has a lot of dropped calls. I know in Southern California (Orange County in particular), Verizon's coverage can't be beat.

I think Cing and T-Mob are trying to find a scapegoat for their lack of coverage.

Oh, the segment that I saw on my local news did not mention that the V3c was excluded! That's great to hear...Cingular definitely does blow, I had it before I switched to Verizon, and I went from 3-4 dropped calls per one conversation, to still waiting for a dropped call since I have been with Verizon, which has been about 8 months now. Verizon's phones are not the best, but the service is untouchable, and that is what ultimately matters to me...
