Thinking of switching Carriers

Why are Verizoms phones so cheap looking compared to Cingular? I am looking to switch in 3 weeks but really not sure. Has anyone had Cingular or Tmobile and then switched to Verizon?

They are? I see peoples cheap Motos on Cingular all the time. I've seen plastic forks at fast food restaurants with better plastic in them than some of those...

lol, i dont understand why you think Verizons phones are cheap??? Do you understand they are made by the same manufacturers?????

Besides the SLVR please explain to me what phones Cingular has that are so much nicer than verizons phones?? I would love to know.

Besides the SLVR is a bar phone and is pretty plain looking and ugly.

Your a typical phone lover who could care less about how good the service is. You just want a cell phone that people look at and say WOW look at that phone you have. Well let me give you a reality check. No one could care less what phone you have.

You should base your cell phone decision on the quality of the network and calls. Cingular cant even compare to verizon when it comes to the network. Cingular is...

Well, I think a lot of people think that Verizon phones are cheap. For example, a lot of people complain that the keypad on the v3c is loose and not sure-feeling. On the other hand, that is not a common complaint with respect to the v3 on gsm networks - i.e., Cingular.

Also, and I may be wrong on this, but I believe that the outer shell of the razr v3c is made of plastic, whereas the v3 (and definitely the v3i) will be made of metal. I personally prefer the feel of metal to plastic.

Although this complaint does not go to the quality of the product per se, I know that a lot of people are not too keen on Verizon's decision to use its own software on the v3c. Indeed, there are many complaints that it breaks down often and is too slow....
