I got one of the Moto Phone Tool software, since the V3 manual says I can connect the phone to the computer and do all kinds of stuff..... 🙄
Well, all I got it to work is to recognize the phone as a modem and charging it. I can't get anything else. 😳 😕
Anyone knows the trick????

You have to purchase the software package.. I have the Mobile PT4 Motorola Phone tools Kit.. It has the Software CD and the USB connector in the kit. Windows XP will Auto-detect your phone when connected.. but without the kit.. I do believe you have gone as far as you can.. I purchased my kit from the cell store when I purchased my V3c.. if I can help you further.. I will do so..

I also have the V3c from Verizon and what I'm using is the Motorola Phone Tools 4 and this basically lets you transfer pics, ringtones and files but, you need to becarefull because there are some versions from verizon that won't let u transfer anything, the S/W Version that I have on my phone is GATW_01.0F.02 one more thing don't update the MPT4 because is not gonna work.
