Voice Mail Alert
Can someone please explain to me how to get this phone to tell me that I have voice messages? It tells me when someone sends me a text, but never when I have a voicemail! This is really frustrating and its not in the user manual....

I had the same problem, i ordered 3 of these for a family plan for some friends of mine. I called cingular and for some reason the sim card they sent out with the phone does not support the message alert. So they sent me to the cingular store to get three new sim cards free of charge. All i had to do was activate them and now it works just fine.

I called cingular about this today!
After 40 minutes, and several calls to my phone and messages left, the first operator finally transferred me to tech support - and the tech support person said "oh... this is a known problem with these phones" (?????)
Then she wanted to send me a new sim card... and that was fine with me... if it would fix the problem... but then they asked me for a credit card # so I hung up.
I'm going in to a store to check it out!!!
