At Cingular Soon?
I just stopped by the Cingular store in San Francsico (downtown). Sep 4. They had a faxed info sheet about the 6500 behind the desk and told me that they thought the phone was due in the store last week. It seems like the release is finally imminent. Any other word on this?

I work for Cingular and I still have heard NOTHING about this phone.

what about cingular's UMTS/HSDPA offer referred to on wirelessweek.com today? article says high speed next 3g service will be available by year end in 20 markets -- any chance this protocol will be a mode for this or forthcoming pda?

UMTS on the 6515? Highly doubtful...I believe they are saving that for its bigger brother (6715?).

Infosync World just reported that Cingular will be releasing the 6500 by the end of 2005.

This has nothing to do with the carrier, it has to do with the manufacturer getting the problems with the deviced fixed and being able to mass produce it on time.
Nokia, Motorola, LG, Samsung, etc all say we are getting new devices by 'x' date and 95% of the time this does not happen, BECAUSE of the manufacturer, not Cingular.
