here is a very juvenile question; and I am terribly sorry if I am wasting your time here. I just bought a ROKR unlocked. There is no carrier name on this phone. When I put my ATTWS SIM card in the phone for the FIRST time, will the WAP and browser settings be applied automatically? Will I have to contact cingular for these? Will they give them to me with no questions asked? Can I get them from the website for cingular (they have a device assistance link)?
Help an old man here guys...

As a former cingular customer care rep I can say that that though in most cases it is supposed to auto-configure the wap settings sadly 9 times out of ten this is not the case. you will need to contact a customer care rep to walk you through setting this up.

naw...wasn't that hard. I just went to the website on cingular and followed the link for auto configuring an ATTWS device. I just did an auto configure for the moto V505 and had it sent to the ROKR. worked like a charm.

I have since sold the phone, I got tired of it. My partner bought me a nano for my bday so I sold the phone to a kid in phillie.
