Anyone know how to transfer music from your computer to the phone? Maybe a stupid question, but I can't figure it out, and it's not in the user's guide. Help!
...
To transfer music to the TransFlash card,
Insert the TransFLASH memory card into the TransFLASH card adapter, if necessary.
Insert the TransFLASH card or TransFLASH card adapter into an SD card reader. Card readers may vary. Follow the installation instructions included with your card reader.
Open the My Computer folder and double click the icon for the SD card reader drive to open that folder.
Create a folder called "Music" inside the TransFLASH memory card folder and drag or download music files into that folder. Phone will play mp3, aac or aac+ file types.
Remove the TransFLASH memory card from the card reader and insert it into the a920's TransFLASH memory card slot.
NOTE: For the a920 to access the music files from ...

Is there anyway to download music to the phone using the USB cable given with the phone? I don't got an SD reader on my computer 😕
...
NO !! 😡 your going to have to invest in a card reader 😲 , mine cost me all of $15 😁 you will need the adaptor that came with the phone to put the transflash into to adapt to a SD size card. 🙂

I can not put music in a folder. It just says the disk is write protected. I tried making a new folder and it says the media is write protected. Can anyone help me?
...
😳 Check the wright protect switch (lock) on the SD adaptor 😲 . Make sure you format the card IN THE PHONE 😲 Try to play music before removing the card and it may make the folder for you 😉 I know it does create the folder to load photos by itself the first time you take a picture or copy one to the card.

There are 2 folders you can use. MEDIA and MUSIC
I prefer the MEDIA folder this uses the MEDIA PLAYER built into the phone. it loads faster and does not make you wait while it loads teh java program and tries to connect to vision.
if you have PURCHASED songs they reside in the MUSIC folder and you then WILL want to use the Music folder as the MEDIA PLAYER will not see the downloaded music only the music player will.
Since I never plan to purchase music I will just use the MEDIA folder and the faster Media Player
also when you buy a song for sprint make sure you have an E-Mail address they will send you a full non drm mp3 copy of the song for that $2.50 pricetag
delete the koz file and convert the file they send you to 48kbit h...

I converted the files to 96 kbps high quality mp3, and each song is approximately 2mb for a 4 minute song, so 500 divided by 2 is around 250. I have 166 songs on it, around 76mb free and this is also with some songs over 5 and even 10 miuntes (comedy sketches) and quite a few pictures. So I could probably get about 1000 minutes of music total. Plus, when connected to headphones, the songs don't crack or pop as they do with lower compression rates which clip the songs (i tried each available compression, 48, 56, 64, 72, 80, 96, 112, 128, 160, and 196kbps. And 96 was the best compromise with size and quality.)
I'm curious to see how much one can fit on this card and still retain quality. (I'm very picky about the quality, and the slightest am...

My problem is trying to reformat. I get "user locked" and my own pass doesnt work. I have spent way too many minutes and time with sprint tech service only to hear that they dont have a clue either. They essentially report that at the time they contracted the phone they believed everything could be done via usb (of course that's impossible) but werent aware there is no driver installed to do so. My son is driving me out of my mind trying to get mp3's from pc to handset. I refuse to pay $20.00/mo for power vision then 2.50 per song that you have to redownload and pay for every 90 days. Particularly when I have the same music in mp3 on my pc already.

Ok any with A920 has had issue with video or picture email? I have it too many minutes to hours to get resolved .I was not able to send video or pictures. They reinstall the network with my Ph and reset my Ph to its default settings, now my email does not work.I can now send pictures and video no errors. I need them to fix my email cant sign in.Anyone have these issues yet?
...
yes, been there several times. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. They have reset my profile a few times but that doesn't fix it. I believe its a network issue on Sprint's end.
...
Take it into the nearest store with a competent tech. If you can't update your software, they can with their Service machine, and they can also set up your vision profile. There is a known issue on this, so if you don't have software version ZB06 (as of 03/21/06), (your version can be found under Menu: Settings: Phone Info: Version) then this will solve your issue.
This is not a network issue, if it were, then NOBODY would be able to access this (or the error would start with 'c' like C1, etc.)

I purchase a 256MB transflash card and a Sandisk Mobile Card Reader/Writer in able to transfer songs from my PC to the phone. I formatted the new card on my cell. Then placed it in the card reader. When I go to download, I get an error message stating Disk write protected. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong and what I can do to fix it?
...
On the trans card there is a 'locl' slider. Slide it to the opposite position.
...
I made sure mine was in "unlocked" position and still get the same message myself as the poster indicated.
