Please help! Custom ringtone slight problem!!!!
Hello, i know theres another thread like this, but i just need a little help. 1st, i have created ringtones, and got them to my phone, but i cant seem to make them anything under 300kb. is this what everyone is getting size wise? i have the mp4 at 40-48 kb, 16000hz, and 1 mono. i assumed they would be around 50kb like the others i download. if they are all at 300kb then im not sure how many my phone can hold, but if everyones are around 300kb then i guess theres no problem but i would like to know if anyone can tell me. when i cut the clip to transfer to mp4 format i just play it in itunes and it converts it to ACC. i dont know if that has something to do with it. and 2nd, i was wondering if theres a way to upload the custom ringtone to my p...

well,,, it was pretty much answered in the thread that I posted earlier... but hey, no biggy... as for the size.. most of my ring tones are around 150 kb to around 300ish.. i think the biggest one's I have are 500kb... I use good ol mp3 format at around 128 freq... sounds better... as for space.. dont worry.. the phone has 25 megs internal shared memory... so you should be able to get your fill of ringtones... as far as the cable that came with that phone...dont bother... as far as I could tell, it's only for pictbridge... it's to connect it to a usb printer and print pictures direct.... i'd juss use wavepad, cut your clip down to about 30 secs... save off as an mp3, and send away...

Ok, thanks Punda. i thought i might have been doing it wrong and was curious if people were making them in a lot smaller size. yea when i had them in mp3 they were a bit smaller, but i was using sprintusers.com and i couldnt upload mp3's from there so i had to convert to mp4's. ok i will try that wavepad and let you know how it turns out. .So basically if you dont have the internet on your phone you can't make ringtones anymore right? thanks for the help much appricated!

Creating and uploading ringtones for Samsung A920 (A method really that works?)
I understand that we are all busy people these days, but I need for someone to explain the process for creating and uploading ringtones to the Samsung A920 without using their own personal shortcuts. I have been browsing forums for a few weeks and I have found helpful information, but I am still not able to assign a custom ringer. Here is what I have done. (By the way, I have no trouble uploading and assigning a .qcp file as a ringer, using http://sprintusers.com/focus)
The first thing I did was found, then used this reference: https://www.phonescoop.com/phones/p_forum.php ?fm=m&ff=783&fi=506978
Which seems to work fine until you try to convert the test.wav...
