HTC 2125 / 2100 (Faraday)
2125 keeps going into "Home Service"
Except for this one quirk it's a great phone. Bought it used and keeps going into Home Service mode where it won't make or receive any calls. Resetting the phone fixes this. I did ask Cingular customer service when I first noticed it and they attributed the behavior to moving and picking up cell towers. However....now I've noticed it does it even when stationary and with great signal. Has anyone else seen this happen?

There would be a few things to check out. First of all make sure you have a 64k sim card in your phone and not a 32k sim card. The next thing to check out is the firmware on your phone. IF you don't have the current firmware it will cause this problem and also burn out the sim card. check out the firmware at http://www.htcamerica.net/support/cingular_21 25_downloads.html
