Does anyone know what Samsung means by 4-Shade Grayscale LCD (external screen)? I mean, does it mean that the external screen can be set to light up in 4 different shades?

No, this means that the external display has four different shades of gray that it displays the numbers, etc with. Example: the clock numbers are a very light grey while the background is a very dark shade of gray. This just means that it doesn't do color, just shades of gray. Hope this helped! 🙂
