Can't use MP3 as ringtones? True/False?
I've heard that you can't use your MP3's as ringtones. Does anyone have solid evidence on whether or not this statement is true/false?

As with most samsungs you cannot use MP3's as ringtones, but I beleive the Samsung dude told me that finally, you can. I might be wrong on this one though.

You can set the mp3's as ringtones..

Well, according to my sources, it supports MP3, WAV, and MIDI (64-voice). Glad its out now. 🙂

Wrong. Unless I'm doing something horrendously wrong, the phone refuses to play anything you put in it as a ringtone.
Please, please tell me I'm wrong and tell me how to fix this.

its bcuz the mp3 files need to be DRM, meaning you have to buy them from t-mo.
But there are people out there trying to find a way around this conflict

I just flew through the manual and saw that. What utter BS. *Sigh*....now I WISH T-Mo got the V3i....that, I wouldn't hesitate to get.
Well....Looks like this one's going back. I know it seems superficial, but one of the biggest parts about owning my phone (apart from calling and receiving calls while not at home), is being able to be creative with the it. I've found a few more things I don't like. For one, the TF is not directly accessable, so you can't just pick a picture/sound off it for use on the phone, you have to use the file manager and copy whatever you want to use to the phone. It's alot of Micromanagement. I'm trying to decide whether I want to stay 7 days to see if it grows on me or not.
