We just received an email at our store regarding the A900's battery life. The life on the battery is consistent with most flip phones if you take a couple things into consideration:

1. Using Bluetooth will drastically cut your battery life because you're using another radio signal.

2. Turn the screen brightness down. Reports indicate that there is not much visible difference, although I do not have an A900 here yet to see for myself.

3. There's a known issue with the GPS function in the phone maintaining a constant signal, which drains the battery. Disabling the location feature could yield about a 33% increase in battery life. Disabling the location feature should not affect E911 services.

That is probably the best way to start using your new battery. Lithium Ion batteries are leaps and bounds above NiMH and NiCad batteries as far as the "memory" goes but it is still a good idea to start the battery out by running it completely down at least once when you first get it. That does help a bit. The other thing is that with any battery it is best to use the home charger if at all possible because the car charger puts more strain on the battery.
