Want Name on Front Screen
New to forum sorry in advance for what may be/will be stupid questions. I have looked in the manual and tried looking on phone .
Can't figure out how to have my Name on front of phone screen

You can do that by going to Menu>Settings>Display>Greeting.
under custom greeting you can enter your name and it will appear on your idle screen.

I had tried that a few times but I'm not getting it saved for some reason. Don't you hit the center button when you're done typing your name to save it?
