Problem with itunes on phone and computer > Not connecting

I have an problem with my phone not connecting with my computer. Do i have to buy the Motorola Phone Tool or does it work like just that.

Help Please!

Assuming you have itunes installed, it should auto detect the phone as an itunes device. Now, I've done this on my imac g5, but tried it on my Windows computer and it asked me if I wanted to redo my itunes selections but said no.

Well I have the latest version of itunes, does this affect the use of the phone connecting to itunes.

It's possible your v3i doesn't have the firmware update required for iTunes7, which is spanking new.
